Akka Antedon Turkey Review: Family-Friendly & Cheap Winter All Inclusive

Updated: August 3, 2026

Overview

Akka Antedon is a large 5 star All Inclusive resort situated on the coast in Beldibi, part of the wider Antalya region and around 40 minutes from the city of Antalya. It’s a classic Turkish resort-style hotel with extensive grounds, multiple pools and a strong focus on food, drinks and on-site activities.

This is very much a stay-in-the-resort kind of hotel, especially in winter when the surrounding area is quiet and many facilities run on a reduced schedule.

The setup makes it ideal for relaxed, low-effort breaks where you want everything in one place, although the experience varies quite a bit by season.

Details of my trip

I stayed in January 2026 for seven nights with James, my partner. The trip cost £489 per person including flights, which works out at roughly £56.86 per person per day once flights are deducted.

For context, the exact same trip in August was priced at £1,729 per person, so this was very much a low-season stay with a significant price difference.

Rooms

We booked a Deluxe Room, starting in a land view room before moving partway through the stay to another room of the same type but overlooking the restaurants and pool area, where we spent the remainder of the trip.

Rooms are modern, spacious and well set up, even at entry level. You get a proper seating area with a sofa, plenty of storage including separate wardrobes, and thoughtful extras like an espresso machine, kettle, minibar with soft drinks and a large bottle of water. The bathroom is equally large, with a rainfall shower, additional handheld shower, robes, slippers and basic toiletries.

The original land view wasn’t particularly scenic at ground level, although the mountain backdrop was impressive. Noise was more of an issue, as you could hear the early morning call to prayer and some barking from nearby dogs. The second room was noticeably quieter and felt like a better overall experience.

One downside in winter is the lack of adjustable air conditioning, as the rooms ran quite warm.

Food & drink

In peak season, the hotel has a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafés, but in January the offering is much more limited.

During my stay, the main buffet restaurant was the core of the experience, alongside a pool snack bar, a café serving barista-style coffee, a patisserie (open 11am-4pm in winter) and one à la carte restaurant that only opened if enough guests booked in advance. Several other restaurants and bars were closed.

The buffet itself is modern, well designed and spacious, with large tables that work well for groups. Food quality was consistently good, with a 14-day rotating menu covering Turkish and international dishes. Breakfast includes an omelette station and fresh orange juice, while lunch and dinner offer a wide range of meat-based dishes, salads and hot options.

It is quite meat-heavy, so vegetarians and vegans may find the choice more limited. Halal options are available. Desserts are typical of All Inclusive resorts, though the Turkish options stand out.

Drinks are included, with wine, beer and soft drinks at meals and a good range of cocktails at the bars. The café is a nice touch, offering proper coffee with options like almond milk.

Facilities

This is where the hotel feels like a proper resort. There’s one indoor pool and multiple outdoor pools, including a large main pool (closed for cleaning during my stay), a secondary pool and a children’s pool with slides. The outdoor pools are heated in winter, not warm enough to lounge in for hours but perfectly fine for a swim.

The aquapark was a standout surprise, with several slides open even in January. It’s not huge, but easily enough for a fun hour or two.

The spa is a highlight, with a steam room, bio sauna, Finnish sauna, hammam and a relaxation room. The space itself is beautifully done, though it didn’t always feel like a calm spa environment due to children coming in and out. Treatments are available at an extra cost.

The gym is small but well equipped, with multiple treadmills, bikes and a solid weights setup.

Daily activities run even in winter, including yoga, bocce, air rifle shooting, darts, mini football and things like barista and cocktail classes. Some, like fishing and courses, need to be booked in advance and can fill up. In summer, the programme expands significantly with water sports, pool games, beach activities and more structured entertainment.

Family-Friendly

Akka Antedon has extensive facilities for kids including a heated outdoor pool with slides, an indoor pool, a splash park and a kids club. They also have an indoor playground on the beach, and there’s even a kids’ restaurant.

They can also provide a bunch of items free for babies including things like a high chair, baby bathtub and potty as well as things for food prep like a blender, food warmer and microwave.

Vibe

The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with a mix of couples, families and groups. In winter, it feels noticeably quieter and more low-key, with much of the action centred around the lobby bar in the evenings.

The main lounge becomes the social hub, with live music, entertainment and plenty of seating, though it fills up quickly. There’s also a nightclub that opens late, though it can be very quiet depending on occupancy.

One noticeable downside was the number of people using phones loudly in shared spaces, which did impact the overall atmosphere at times.

The guest mix during my stay was mostly Turkish and Russian, with very few British guests.

6/10

Service

Service was generally strong across the hotel. Check in was quick and straightforward, and staff were friendly and approachable throughout.

The standout moments came in the buffet restaurant, where a few staff members were particularly attentive, regularly checking in and making an effort to engage with guests.

Bar service was efficient, even during busier periods, and drinks were made well. While service could occasionally feel a little slow in the restaurant, it was always polite and well-intentioned.

7/10

Location

The hotel is located in Beldibi which is in Kemer, in the Antalya region, about 40 minutes from the city of Antalya. It’s set directly on a sandy beach with mountain views behind, so it’s a striking natural setting.

That said, this isn’t a location you choose for exploring. The surrounding area is quiet, especially in winter, and most guests will stay within the resort for the majority of their trip.

The beach itself is pleasant, though in winter it feels a bit stripped back, with fewer umbrellas set up and a slightly unfinished look.

Value for money

This is where Akka Antedon really stands out. At around £56 per person per day in January, including food, drinks and activities, it offers excellent value for a 5 star All Inclusive.

The trade-off is the reduced offering in winter, with fewer restaurants, limited entertainment and some facilities either closed or operating on shorter hours. However, if your priority is a comfortable, easy, All Inclusive escape rather than variety, it delivers very well.

Compared to similar resorts, the food quality, rooms and overall standard feel a step up at this price point.

Who it's for

Great for families looking for a low-effort all inclusive break – especially in winter, when it offers fantastic value for money. It’s definitely set up to make things easier for parents rather than just tolerating kids.

Couples can have a great time here too – just note that this isn’t an especially quiet or adults-only location, so expect to share pools, restaurants and even the spa with kids during your stay.

It’s also less suited to travellers who want variety – whether that’s nightlife spots or nearby towns – as there’s not much else in the immediate area. It’s the kind of place to book if you want to switch off and prefer to stay on site as much as possible.

Worth knowing

This area is popular with Turkish and Russian tourists, so it’s worth checking when their public holidays are as this could push up prices. For example, Russian Orthodox Christmas falls on 7 January.

I also filmed a video to see if I could actually make a PROFIT from an all inclusive holiday.

My final verdict

Akka Antedon is a strong all-rounder that becomes particularly compelling in the off-season, where the price drops significantly but the core experience remains solid.

You need to go in with the right expectations. In winter, this is a quieter, more limited version of the hotel, with fewer dining options and less going on. But if you’re happy with that and just want good food, comfortable rooms and an easy, All Inclusive break, it’s excellent value.

For the best experience, aim for a good room location away from noise, and consider booking activities in advance. If you want the full resort experience with maximum choice, summer is the better time to visit, but you’ll pay significantly more for it – which could impact the overall score.
