Crane Hotel Faralda is a hotel in an actual crane in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. And yes, it still turns in the wind!
This crane reaches a whopping 50 metres high, and was once a harbour crane - it's located at NDSM shipyard. It overlooks the IJ, and you can reach Amsterdam Central station in just 10 minutes on the ferry, which stops a few hundred meters away from the hotel.
Each luxury suite is arranged over 2 floors, and has serious design credentials. There's a separate bedroom with a kingsize bed, a bathtub, and a seating area. There's also a bathroom with a rain shower. Interiors are surprisingly cosy and warm, and views across the city are stunning. But it costs a fair whack to stay here - you're looking at a price tag of almost a grand. When we checked prices, the cheapest we could find was £967 per night.
