Freehand New York

affordable
4 Star

Located in the Flatiron district, the Freehand New York is the perfect way to be close to many tourist attractions without… well, without being too close.

What’s more, when I shared where I was staying with local friends, they all nodded approvingly thanks to its close proximity to plenty of great food and drink options.

The hotel itself does well for the fact it was built in the 1920's. Whilst there are still some dark corridors and slightly wonky floors, the Freehand leans into its history and the end product is a place to stay that has much more of a personality than the white-wash rooms you often see around this price point.

It's also got great food and drink options, plenty of space for remote working and even has single rooms for solo travellers.

Read my review for more of an insight, and whether I think it's worth the cost.
