Palazzina Fortuny

Palazzina Fortuny is located in a great spot for your Venice adventure - it’s in the central San Marco district, under 10 minutes’ walk from both the Rialto bridge and St Mark’s square.

Bedrooms are simply decorated, with injections of colour coming from the headboard and curtains, and there are posh marble bathrooms too. You don’t get the original features and traditional Venetian accents here, but the decor is still aesthetically pleasing and the rooms are generously-sized.

This hotel takes its name from Museo di Palazzo Fortuny nearby, a Gothic building that was once the home of celebrated Spanish artist Mariano Fortuny. It houses a pretty eclectic mix of items from Fortuny’s collection and has a unique charm - it’s certainly worth a look.

Note there’s no breakfast available here - but it’s a great excuse to check out the local pastry shops!
