Iglupark Tallinn Review: My Unique Waterfront Cabin and Sauna Stay

Updated: November 13, 2025

If you love a relaxing cabin retreat AND you also love a city break, then I’ve got a unique stay in Tallinn, Estonia, that ticks both boxes.

My review of Iglupark Tallinn

Iglupark Tallinn is a collection of cabins and five saunas on the waterfront in Estonia’s capital, right on the Baltic Sea.

You get all the chill vibes of a seaside stay but you’re just a short taxi ride – or walk – from the city centre.

A stay here is part city break, part waterfront escape – and 100% chill!

Unique Waterfront Cabin Retreat and Sauna Stay

Iglupark cabins and saunas are located on Noblessner waterfront in Tallinn.

This is one of those newly regenerated areas that used to be industrial, but is now up-and-coming, with bars and restaurants as well as exhibition and community spaces.

It’s a great location for a cabin retreat – you feel like you’re far away from it all, but you aren’t actually!

You can pop out for a coffee or a meal without losing the chill vibes of being by the water. And if you want to explore central Tallinn, it’s easy to do that too – it’s about 5 minutes away in a taxi or a 20-minute walk.

Iglupark: The Cabins

The cabins are exactly what you’d picture: little wood-clad igloos with fresh and bright interiors. Think coastal chic meets Nordic cool.

There are huge windows so you can look out to sea, and there’s just enough space for everything: a comfy double bed, seating area, bathroom and even a little kitchenette. It’s compact – like your own private studio on the water – and really cosy.

Each cabin has a deck for sitting out with a coffee (or something stronger) and watching the sun go down. You can choose one right on the waterfront for uninterrupted views, or save a bit by booking one behind.

As well as two-person cabins, they do have a family cabin that sleeps five. There’s an extra sleeping area with a bunk bed, which has a third pull-out bed underneath it, so it can host up to three children too.

While there’s a coffee machine and kettle in the kitchenette, there’s no stove or oven, so you’ll want to head out for your hot meals.

You’ve got some lovely spots on your doorstep though. Põhjala Tap Room does pizza and craft beer, there’s Lore Bistroo for sharing plates and KAI for drinks, dinner and even DJs.

How much is a stay at Iglupark Tallinn?

As for cost, you can expect to pay around £70–£130 a night for a 2-person cabin at Iglupark Tallinn, depending on the time of year.

When James and I visited in summer, our waterfront cabin was £137 per night, which felt totally worth it for the views and atmosphere.

Iglupark: The Sauna

Now onto the sauna…

Saunas are big in Estonia – like they are across the Nordic countries – so it’s no surprise to find them at Iglupark.

Although James and I were surprised that they have a FREE morning sauna for guests!

If you’re staying at Iglupark then they have a communal sauna guests can use for free in the mornings. You even get bathrobes and slippers supplied in your cabin.

The public can also book in to the communal sauna, which costs €24.

Iglupark also has some other wood-fired and electric saunas that can be hired as private saunas in 2-hour blocks. And there’s also a hot tub you can book.

The saunas are just a few steps from the sea. So if you really want to do things the Baltic way, you can take a little sea dip in between your sessions in the sauna.

I tried a sea dip myself during our summer stay. Yes it was freezing at first, but I found myself getting used to it.

I even managed a swim, although I would have preferred not to have had jellies for company! Don’t worry though – these jellyfish are considered harmless to humans.

Because I loved getting in the water, I’d recommend going to Iglupark in summer, when you can make the most of the outdoor deck, the sea swimming and the sunshine.

Although it would be proper cosy in winter. And you could check out Tallinn’s Christmas Market too!

It’s a proper mind-clearing, body-recharging experience!

So there you have it: Iglupark Tallinn is the perfect combo of chill escape and city break.

Whether you’re hanging out in your cabin, getting sweaty in the sauna or exploring your surroundings, you can dial the city or nature vibes up or down however you like – which I really loved.

Staying here felt almost like having two holidays in one – and did I feel doubly restored after our trip? Almost!
