My Hotel Review: PURO Łódź Centrum

Updated: August 3, 2026

Overview

PURO Łódź Centrum is a modern, design-led hotel in a very handy position, right in the heart of Łódź, Poland . It’s opposite the Museum of the City of Łódź and close to Manufaktura shopping and leisure centre.

PURO Łódź Centrum feels welcoming and stylish – not too formal – with smart bedrooms and communal spaces.

I stayed here as part of a £100 holiday challenge for my social media and YouTube, so keeping costs down mattered – and what surprised me most was how much the hotel felt like a treat, even though I booked the cheapest room.

I stayed in March 2026 for one night with my other half, James. I booked the cheapest room available for a couple, a Classic Queen, but we were given a free upgrade to a Classic Plus Queen on a higher floor.

The room cost £54 for the night, room-only, which worked out at £27 per person.

Rooms

We booked a Classic Queen but were upgraded for free to a Classic Plus Queen.

The room was a good size – there was space for our bags, hanging space for clothes, drawers, a safe, iron and ironing board, fridge, desk and chair, a huge TV, a Marshall speaker and an iPad for controlling the lights and contacting reception.

The room decor was very nice – artwork above the bed, a rug, warm lighting and a huge window looking over the building opposite, which is now the Museum of the City of Łódź.

There were also thoughtful extras, like robes, slippers, juices, macarons, still and sparkling water in cans, a Nespresso machine and bathroom products including a mini moisturiser.

The bathroom was a good size with a shower – it did have a partly see-through wall but there was a thick curtain to pull across for privacy.

The bed was very comfortable, and thanks to proper thick curtains the room stayed very dark – although there were net curtains so we could enjoy the view without feeling exposed.

Facilities

For a city hotel at this price, the facilities felt surprisingly strong. There’s no swimming pool, but there is a gym, with space for mats, a weights rack, machines and excellent views across to the palace. However, there were children running around it when I used it – despite signs saying it was not for them. More fool me for keeping quiet, but fortunately they left after 15 minutes!

There’s a sauna and that was a real highlight – it was big and had the same picturesque view, making it feel like something I would usually expect to pay extra for. But use of the sauna is included in the price of your room!

There was also free water in the sauna area – a small but welcome touch – and the hotel also advertises spa treatments, although I didn’t try any myself.

The ground-floor communal areas were lovely too – a large restaurant and bar area, a generous lounge-style lobby with lots of seating, places to work, a café counter and a reception area.

Food & drink

We didn’t actually eat in the hotel, because we were doing a £100 holiday challenge for this stay – so this score comes with that caveat. From what I saw, the hotel had one main restaurant, Miska Gastro Bowls, one bar and a café counter – and they all appeared to be open during our March stay.

Breakfast wasn’t included in our room-only rate and would have cost around £18 per person – I think this feels steep for Poland and I knew we could find something cheaper elsewhere. That said, the restaurant and bar spaces looked genuinely appealing, with plush seating and plenty of people using them at breakfast, during the day and in the evening.

The best perk was the free hot drinks machine in the restaurant area – we could help ourselves to coffee, tea and hot chocolate, which was great value.

There were also complimentary drinks and treats in the room, including juices, macarons and water. For a stay that only cost us £54, those extras made the hotel feel much more generous than expected.

Vibe

PURO Łódź feels polished and contemporary, definitely a hotel where you want to spend your time.

The lobby was more like a bar-lounge than a standard hotel reception area. There were people working, chatting and relaxing, and it seemed like a good fit for remote workers as well as hotel guests.

It’s a nice place for couples, especially if you get one of the rooms with a view, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it as a solo or business traveller.

8/10

Service

The service was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. When we needed help, the staff were really nice and easy to deal with. I wouldn’t say it was exceptional, but I also would not expect that from a 4 star hotel at this price.

That said, the free upgrade was a positive element to the stay, and we didn’t have to ask or pay for it. Overall, the service matched the hotel – warm and professional.

Location

The hotel is very central, very close to Manufaktura and the Museum of the City of Łódź. We got a bus from the airport and then had only a short walk to the hotel (taxis from the airport were also very affordable at under £10 each way).

There are plenty of trams nearby, which made getting around easy and cheap, plus a lot of things are within walking distance. You can walk to Piotrkowska Street in around 10 minutes.

Some of the trendier food, drink and nightlife areas, including places around OFF Piotrkowska shopping area, are more like a 15 to 20-minute walk away, so if you’re coming for the nightlife, it’s possible you might prefer to stay slightly further south, but for us the location worked really well.

Value for money

PURO Łódź Lodz Arrival Gifts

This is where PURO Łódź really shines. We paid £54 for the night, or £27 each, and for that we we got a free upgrade to a beautiful bigger room, robes and slippers, room treats, free hot drinks, gym access and a sauna with a view.

It feels like a brilliant option when you want to treat yourself or someone else to a stylish hotel stay, but you can’t justify the prices you might pay in other European city destinations.

For us, Łódź more than delivered. We found good food and drink, enjoyed activities like a street art tour and Hopa Lupa games park, and came away feeling like we had found a genuinely great deal.

When I checked future dates, I was still seeing affordable rooms, including summer weekday stays from around £70 per night. Prices will always vary, but Puro Łódź Centru, feels like a hotel where you can get a lot more than the rate suggests, especially outside peak months or when booking smartly.

10/10

Who it's for

PURO Łódź is best for budget-luxury seekers who want a stylish hotel without a painful price tag.

It works for all traveller types – couples – especially in a room with a view – friends, solo travellers who want somewhere safe and polished, and business travellers who need good shared workspaces.

Avoid it if you want full five-star luxury, old-school grand-hotel service or a historic hotel with lots of period character. If your main focus is nightlife around the trendier parts of Piotrkowska Street, you may prefer to stay a little further south.

My final verdict

PURO Łódź Centrum was one of those stays where the price made the experience feel even better. At £54 for the night, it felt like a proper treat rather than a budget compromise.

I would book it again in a heartbeat, and for the best deal, I would look at January to March stays, check last-minute rates and compare quieter weekdays with weekends. I would also ask at reception about complimentary bikes, as the hotel has been known to offer them and I am gutted I did not realise this was a thing during our stay.
