Now Rome isn't known for having great parks like London, for example - what they lack in leafy green spaces they make up for with a shed load of incredible ancient artefacts - but Villa Borghese is a lovely little oasis just to the north of the city centre.
The Villa Borghese gardens are lovely landscaped gardens - originally for the residents of the villa, which is now an art gallery. It's a great place to chill with a picnic or to stroll around and people watch.
The gallery is well worth a look as it contains some amazing artworks, sculptures and mosaics, by world-famous artists including Caravaggio and Bernini - there is an entry fee of €20 / £17.
