Viray Vacay: Jeju island, South Korea
Jeju island is a beautiful volcanic island off the south coast of South Korea, and it’s been going viral recently as a gorgeous beach destination that should be added to your South Korea holiday.
It’s got shedloads of beautiful nature including unique volcanic landscapes, lush forests, sandy beaches and impressive waterfalls.

Ocean Grand Hotel
Ocean Grand Hotel is a 3-star spot on the north side of the island, across from beautiful Hamdeok Beach, with its fine white sand and turquoise water. Nearby attractions include Seoubong peak, Manjanggul lava cave and Jeju stone park with its mythological carvings.
How much? Good news – it’s not as out of budget as you might think! The Spa Suite with the hot tub and amazing views can be yours from £218 per night.

Grabel Hotel Jeju
Grabel Hotel Jeju is on the north side of Jeju island, with a gorgeous rooftop infinity pool where you can soak and gaze out to sea.
The hotel has both western-style and Korean style rooms – guests rate them for their cleanliness and epic views. Popular city beach Iho Tewoo beach is about 15 minutes’ drive away.
How much? A room with a sea view starts at £53 per night, or you can get a suite from £77 per night.
What about even cheaper?
Jeju Resort
Jeju Resort is on the north side of the island, and has direct beach access – so you’ll be diping your toes in the sea in no time! This is a scenic area, within a few minutes’ drive of the Handam Coastal Trail. Various cafes and restaurants are within an easy walk too.
How much? You can get a double room here with a sea view from £34 per night.
