If you’re like me and refuse to buy extra baggage, you’ll be used to having to cram all your liquids into one tiny see through bag. Well, thanks to one of my favourite airport hacks, you don’t need to scrimp on liquids anymore!
What is Boots Click & Collect?
Boots’ Click and Collect service allows customers to buy and pay for items online, and then collect them in-store at their convenience.
However, what many people don’t realise is that you can do this at Boots stores located after security at the airport.
Why is Boots’ Click and Collect Useful?
The reason this is such a great hack is because at many airports, you’re only allowed to take liquids under 100ml and they have to fit in one small see through bag.
But with this hack, you can now collect exactly what you need – be it full size bottles of sun lotion, niche beauty products or general travel essentials.
It also allows you to pack lighter and make room for your other travel necessities.
It’s especially handy for families as they can pick up really bulky items, like nappies or formula at the airport. Boots stocks Mothercare clothing too!
Finally, you can take advantage of exclusive online deals and promotions, whilst earning your Boots Advantage Card points.

The service is available in the pre departure terminals of 15 airports around the country.

Is There a New Charge for Using Boots' Click & Collect?
The fee used to be free as long as you were spending over £15, or just £1.50 but now it’s a whopping £4.50 – even if you’re spending loads!
Therefore, if the items are likely to be in stock anyway, you may be better simply buying them in store. However, if you want to know for sure that your items will be there in stock, then it could be well worth paying this charge.
How to Use Boots Click and Collect For The Airport
If you’ve used a Boots Click & Collect service before, you’ll be glad to hear it works in a near identical way with this hack. However, the key thing to remember is to select the right airport terminal and choose to collect at the Boots which is AFTER security, since there are often Boots stores before security as well.
Step by step guide for using Boots Click & Collect
- Head to Boots.com at least 5 days before you leave.
- Select what you need on the site and add them to your basket.
- When you get to the check out, search for your departure airport. Make sure you select the right terminal and the Boots that is after security.
- Select the day you are flying and pay online – though my top tip is to select the day before just to be on the safe side
- Pay up!
Once your order is in, all that remains to do is to head to your chosen Boots at the airport and collect your items!
Speak to any staff member you see and make sure you have your order email to hand and know what name you ordered it under.
Will I Need to Fit My Boots Order Into my Hand Luggage?
Most airlines will allow you to take duty free on the plane in addition to your personal luggage, just double check the fine print as we know that some limit you to 1 bag, or say that you have to fit it into your personal luggage.
I’ve personally used this hack on British Airways, Ryanair and Wizz Air and never had a problem.
