The best time to book a FlixBus ticket is during a FlixBus sale, right?!
During a FlixBus sale, you can snap up super-cheap bus tickets for trips across the UK. And right now, FlixBus is running its fifth anniversary sale!
Here’s everything you need to know about the FlixBus sale and how to find bargain tickets.

What is FlixBus?
FlixBus is a coach company that offers intercity bus travel across the UK, Europe and other parts of the world.
They provide affordable and comfortable transport options for passengers, connecting various cities and destinations with their huge network of routes.
FlixBus is known for its big green vehicles, commitment to sustainability (like exploring renewable sources of fuel) and modern touches like free wifi and charging points onboard.

I’ve only used Flixbus in Europe before – transporting James and I from our house sitting stay in Ulm to Munich for a day of beer sampling!! We were both surprised at how comfy and cosy it was and I’d definitely be up for more journeys in the future.
When Are the Next FlixBus Sales in 2026?
FlixBus tends to host sales at several times throughout the year and so here’s what to expect in the near future.

Current FlixBus sales
Right now, FlixBus is celebrating its 5th year anniversary in the UK, so they’re offering £4.49 tickets for bus travel across England, Scotland and Wales.
This is in honour of the brand new routes they’re launching this year, so you can get to even more places in the UK for less.
You can buy the £4.49 tickets from now until Thursday 30 April.
The tickets are valid for travel between Monday 13 April and Tuesday 30 June 2026.

How Do I Find FlixBus Sale Tickets?
To find sale tickets, just head to the FlixBus website homepage or app. Enter your desired route and travel date in the search bar.
Once you get to the results page, you’ll see a list of available times and prices, including any £4.49 tickets for that route.

Remember the sale is running till Thursday 30 April, but you can buy tickets for travel between Monday 13 April and Tuesday 30 June 2026.
If there aren’t any £4.49 tickets available, it means the offer isn’t running on that route, or they’ve all been sold out!
Does the Sale Include FlixBus Routes in Europe?
This sale is just for FlixBus routes across the UK. They’re offering those sweet £4.49 tickets for journeys within England, Scotland and Wales, making it super affordable to explore different spots within these countries.
When Does the FlixBus Sale End?
The FlixBus sale is running until Thursday 30 April.
Isn’t There Already a £3 Cap on Local Bus Tickets?
In England, there’s a government-supported programme that limits the price of local bus tickets to £3 until March 2027.
However, FlixBus’s sales cover longer intercity routes, and allows travellers to more freely explore Scotland and Wales, where the £3 cap doesn’t apply.
So, if you’re eyeing up scenic journeys like the one from Bristol to Swansea or from Glasgow to Inverness via the stunning Cairngorms, the FlixBus sale is a good way to make a saving.
