Hi I’m Katie, Editor and Writer here at Holiday Expert. I work with Chelsea to bring you the hottest and up-to-the-minute travel updates, deals, hacks and inspiration.

I’ve been curious about the world ever since I wandered off on a Portuguese beach aged three (I was returned to my parents before they even noticed I’d gone!). I love exploring different cultures, and on a human level it shows me we are united by so much more than what divides us.

I did a good chunk of travel before iPhones were a thing – yes I took my Blackberry to the Atacama desert. I’ve also spent time living in Italy, although my Italian now is pretty patchy – but I can order you a strozzapreti alla boscaiola if you’re not sure how to say it!

Outside of travel, I like seeing plays, getting books from the library (but not always reading them) and doing yoga in my sitting room.
